About The Exchange and Eohippus, LLC

Owner Dagny Amber Aslin brings 20+ years of "A" Circuit experience at the junior, amateur and professional level, plus a background in marketing high-end real estate, to the equine sales industry.

As a professional in the fast-paced Southern California show scene Amber quickly recognized that time is short when attending to the goals and aspirations of a barn full of riders. Aside from training progress and show ring success, Amber desired competent mounts for her students, and suitable homes for those outgrown.

As head Marketing Assistant for Daniel Encell, Prudential's 3rd Top Real Estate Agent in the World, and a consistent MLS Top Seller in the multi-million dollar real estate market of Santa Barbara, CA, Amber recognized the similarities of selling high-end homes and high-end horses. She was simultaneously impressed by the prowess of a real estate marketing campaign, and its effective use of technology to increase exposure.

A return to colder climates in 2005 led Amber to expound upon long lurking ideas: The professional horseman's need for assistance; their lack of time and, often, technological know-how; their constant struggle to balance the needs of business, clients and horses. There was an obvious need for someone to man an office, learn the technology, stay on top of its changes, and exploit it's amazing ability to assist in the sale of horses.

Since 2005 The Exchange has grown from a hopeful premise to a dedicated service for Sellers & trainers. Meanwhile our web site ExchangeHunterJumper.com has been established as a premier destination for quality horses with over 40,000 unique visitors each month and consistent referrals from the online horse community.

A family business

Amber's mother Jane Aslin has been a part of the equestrian world since Amber's first lesson 20+ years ago. She embraced her duties as a horse show mom and then some, organizing the family's equine expenditures into an accountable business and smartly investing the money into a show barn. Jane has seen the ins-and-outs of an equestrian business from all sides: Owner, mother, buyer and seller. She brings this insight and understanding to Eohippus, LLC and handles all accounting and financial needs for the company.

In-house Design & Production

With the exception of DVD replication, all advertising materials are designed and produced in-house. Exchange Production Assistant Ellie McDonald aides in the daily tasks associated with producing a marketing campaign that spans all media types. She brings to our company a great eye for design, professional experience in print and internet publishing, and a comprehensive background in visual arts.

Our eyes & ears on the Circuit, Exchange Satellites help us reach out to shows in every zone and increase our Video Catalog distribution. Exchange Satellites are horse people already on the scene at horse shows- if you are interested in becoming a part of this network please let us know.
