Web professionals advise waiting till Monday....

In the never ending saga of trying to re-launch ExchangeHunterJumper.com we've hit one final bump in the road. Wise advise from the web team is that Friday launches are A Bad Idea. Apparently they don't work weekends, and apparently odds favor that Things Will Go Wrong. So, Monday it is folks. How's that for suspense building?

Shortly after the announcement we would launch the web site February 1st I found myself locked out of the server and unable to make the final changes. The lockout put us about 16 hours behind schedule. As we are moving to new servers an additional delay will be experienced as browsers discover they have to relocate our site. Things should be completely online and viewable by Friday.

Acolades CWF pins 2nd in National Hunter Classic at Midstates, moves up to the International Derby this week at Maffit Lake

After a light 2011 season Acolades CWF returned to the show ring with a bang at Midstates Fall. He warmed up in the Low Hunters and took Champion out of 18 entries, then finished 2nd in the USHJA National Hunter Classic and proved he's as brave as ever. Congratulations to Unscripted & Chad! They bested a tough field of 30 competitors to take top prize in the $5000 USHJA National Hunter Classic at the 2011 Maryland Horse & Pony Show. Dino was also catch ridden in the MHSA Junior Equitation Finals. EHJ satellite Kimmy Risser was on hand to witness his performance in both the Eq Finals & Hunter Classic; her report included multiple uses of the word "brave" to describe his performances - love that! Congratulations to this gorgeous young gelding by Ragtime! As the returning West Coast 2 y.o. U/S Champion we've been looking forward to Rockabilly's participation in this event all year. Held September 1st at Showpark All Seasons the 3 y.o. West Coast IHF Finals brings together some of the nicest young hunters in California to test their suitability under saddle and over fences. Billy shined over the jumps to win the class and placed 2nd in the under saddle phase, securing the Reserve Championship for the division. We are so proud of this stunning young man, look for video to come!

New Small Pony listing Rock Star takes 3rd in VHSA Medal Final, wins Pony Derby

Our newest listing Rock Star has had an awesome summer with Small Pony wins at Warrenton & Culpeper, a Pony Derby win at Lexington National, and a 3rd Place finish in the very competitive VHSA Pony Medal Finals. He's great for riders ready to get their feet wet in the rated pony divisions and can hold his own in tough company. In 2010 he trooped around the Verizon Center to Champion Regional Pony Hunter at WIHS. Located in VA with Terri Young, showing next at Middleburg.

After a week of pony promotion it only makes sense to post some pony sales! Congratulations to Blythe Marano on the sale of Wynnbrook's Sandcastle shortly after his prestigious appearance in the Under Saddle Championship at Pony Finals. While still on their home turf Maranatha Pizzazz sold to Victory Farms in TX, congratulations to seller Allison Campbell; and My Irish Rose found a great new owner in her own barn - which is always a nice turn of events for caring sellers. Best of luck to all these ponies in their new homes!

Vitoria makes a clean sweep of the Mod. Jr/Am Jumpers at Blenheim Summer!

What a show for this confirmed Junior Jumper! Vitoria won all 3 classes of the Mod. Jr/Am division out of 10, 24 & 30 entries, then returned to win the $1500 Classic out of 25! Huge congrats! While we were off in pony land our newest listing Casabella was cleaning up in the Equitation Medals at the Evergreen Classic in Washington state. Exchange sale ponies earn 10 ribbons at Pony Finals, and 10th in U/S Championship

What a week! I couldn't be prouder of our kids and ponies at Pony Finals. Boy did they give us lots to talk about! When all was said and done the total ribbon count equaled 10, with a highlight of two Exchange sale ponies (and a third Exchange Alum!) competing in the Under Saddle Championship. Congratulations Samaritan on your 10th place finish in this prestigious class, and to Wynnbrook's Sandcastle on qualifying for it with a 4th place finish in the Large Pony Hunters Under Saddle. Exchange Pony Finals ribbon count stands at 8!

Wow! I want to extend a huge congratulations to all the kids that are helping to make this Pony Finals such a success. They are riding so well!

Hillcrest's Lorelei - 10th O/F & 18th Overall out of 96 in the Small Ponies! She really rose to the occasion and earned two scores of 83 over fences. She held 2nd place for quite awhile! This sweet pony is really coming into her own and is ready to be a fixture in the Small Pony ribbons at Finals for quite some time.
Soiree: What a star! 4th Overall Large Green Pony Hunters! And 4th Over Fences! She stood 14th after the model and hack with impressive scores in the 80s. We could not be more proud of this rising star, and we've been telling you about her for over a year... the proof is in the pudding!
Samaritan: 3rd Under Saddle & 8th in Model Large Greens! He scored two 84s, an 86 & 88! He stood 4th Overall after day 1 but due to a previous injury his rider did not show over fences. She sure had a great show though and it was well worth the trip!
Rollingwoods Cookie Cop: 9th Place in the Medium Green model receiving an 84 & 86! He hacked great with one small bobble in a transition, but still received two scores of 84 & 86 for movement. He came back to jump around bravely and beautifully and was an honest & straight-forward partner for his rider. Finished an impressive 24th Overall!
Wynnbrooks Sandcastle: 4th U/S Large Pony Hunters out of 107 with two scores of 86! He currently stands 4th Overall heading over fences in the Large Ponies tomorrow. We weren't sure he was coming but we're sure glad we found him there!
Sugarbrook Blue Mile finished 21st Overall in the Large Green Ponies - knocked out of the ribbons at the last possible second! But he was a super solid citizen all weekend and I'm sure he has plenty of chances to earn Pony Finals ribbons in his future.

Soiree wins Large Greens O/F at KY Summer

In what is probably the toughest pony competition outside of Indoors, WEF, Devon & Pony Finals itself, Soiree topped the Large Greens Over Fences today at Kentucky Summer in a field of 20+. She hasn't had a pro ride in eons, and has been packing around the Long Stirrup ring for most of the summer. Huge congrats to Soiree & Patchwork Farm. See her this weekend & next week in KY.

Congrats Last Wish & Katie Nowak ~ Winners of the 2011 HJAM Junior Medal Final at Horse Shows by the Bay! They were also Reserve Champion in the 15-17 Equitation division weeks III & IV, out of 20 & 17 entries respectively, and earned great ribbons in the USEF, Talent Search, WIHS & Maclay Medals. Welcome to new listing "Last Wish", aka Carlos. Carlos was imported in 2010 and won the WIHS at his first USEF show. He has gone on to excel in the Maclay & USEF with top prizes in huge company, including a 2nd of 31 in the USEF at Waterloo just a few weeks ago. Kim Barone & Showtime win Pro Equitation Class at Midstates for 3rd time

Congrats to longtime EHJ seller Kim Barone on her third win in the Midstate's Professional's Equitation Class with Showtime! Despite it being his first show of the 2011 season (due to owner constraints) this horse didn't miss a beat. He also went on to win the Maclay and the Large Junior Championship with Katie Sweeney ~ Congrats to the entire Raven Ridge team! Two pictures from the Pro Eq class have been posted to his page.

With a score of 90 in the Handy "Keep It Cool", aka KC, was high scoring pony at Fairfield this weekend! Out of 16 competitive entries he was 1st in the Handy and 2nd O/F in the Medium Ponies with Madeline Briggs - another new rider for him. He's quite the adaptable pony. We've also added a beautiful new photo that just came in from WEF to his already impressive collection of pictures.

Cop is currently winning in the Greens and ready to clean up in the Childrens or Mediums. He has been doing WTC & Opportunity classes with an 8 y.o. for two years, but truly belongs in the rated rings. He's shown 8 times in the Greens & been Champion or Reserve for 7 of them, and stands 5th in the country. He has wonderful experience with tiny riders and is ready to be seriously competitive at Finals. Was just Champion last week in the Larges, winning hack, model & conformation and will show again this week. "Truffle" is a proven Large Pony that has previously qualified for Devon, Indoors and M&S Medal Finals. Last year he finished Top 25 in the USEF Pony Medal Finals (see video on page) and 8th of 101 in the Model. He is a beautiful pony that is both very competitive for seasoned pony riders, and great for a confident first year in the rateds.

Lulu was very patient as we dragged her out in a steady drizzle during dinner time, unfortunately my camera skills are not up to par with said drizzle and the ensuing reflection it causes on a grey pony! The conformation shots were not salvageable, but did snag some adorable head shots. Looking forward to a sunlit shoot with this one! See her again this week at Lamplight with Emily Elek.

Shorty was a trooper, and I did my best to figure out which buttons on my fancy-schmancy camera accomodated for "drizzle". He stood very well, showed off his Pony Finals worthy model, and put on an appropriate smiley face between the raindrops. I can't wait to get him in the sunlight. In 2009 "Shorty" was USEF Res. Champion Medium Green Pony, Champion Zone 3, and 9th Overall at Pony Finals. With only 16 shows in 2010 he was Zone 7 Res. Champion Medium Pony and 43rd in the country, and had a very respectable showing in the Mediums at Finals. He is soft, quiet, correct and easy, and an excellent partner to begin a serious show career with.

We're a bit behind sorting and editing Litto's photos from Kentucky Spring but it works well to tie them into his Country Heir promotion. We didn't get any pics of Litto stripped down but that didn't stop us from chasing him around the warm-up and Schooling Jumpers, and we ended up with some pretty nice shots. He is super cute with a beautiful head and a nicely photogenic jump. Great deal for an experienced horse. Can do the Low Juniors, should be lovely in the Equitation ring. Awesome long term partner for an up & coming 3' rider. See with Jill Knowles this week and next at Country Heir in KY.

Super adorable Small Pony Hunter "Hilcrest's Lorelei", aka Lulu, is showing this week and next at the Showplace Spring Spectaculars with Emily Elek of Stonewall Farm. Lulu won a class over fences last year at Harrisburg, ribboned at WIHS and the Hampton Classic, and finished the season as the 22nd best Small Pony in the country - and just 7 years old! This pony has excellent experience carting young riders around in big company and will only continue to improve. Bright future lies ahead, available for purchase or lease now.

Third and final new welcome from Patchwork farm is the Blue Rain grandson Sugarbrook Blue Mile, aka Miles. This is a great all-around pony for learning the ropes or winning the division. "Miles" had a solid year winning Childrens Pony classes in 2010 and finished as 2010 GHJA Res. Champion. He qualified for this year's Pony Finals by sweeping the Large Green division at Atlanta Winter, and won the Green Pony Classic at Atlanta Spring. He will compete at Pony Finals with his current rider but Sellers welcome interested parties to try him between now & then. Can be seen at Atlanta Summer.

Warm welcome to first of several new listings from Patchwork Farm in Canton, GA. Bright Side, aka Uschi, is currently leading the GHJA Pregreen standings and has good miles in PreChildrens classes. She has a lovely trot and a beautiful presence between the jumps. Quiet horse with a ho-hum style and a lopey canter. "Indy" successfully campaigned as a Dressage horse in Germany before coming to the States in 2010. So far he's earned Pregreen Tricolors at LA International & Opener, and good ribbons in deep company at HITS Thermal. Indy has beautiful movement for Hunters, but also the rideability of a quality Equitation prospect. See with Anee Churchill in Southern California.

This one always gets pretty points and so far in 2011 he has been Large Green Champion or Reserve at Atlanta, Brownland & Gulf Port, and won the over fences, hack and model in Ocala. Having just returned from a Short Stirrup lease Gracie is back competing in the Medium Pony Hunter divsions up in Maryland. Last week at the Summer Classic she won the handy and over fences rounds to be Champion and came in 2nd in the USEF Pony Medal. She's now qualified and has plans to be at Finals if not sold before then.
