Dewey has shown at many of the big East Coast venues and looks right at home in the junior equitation classes. He is handsome and well-educated with an elegant build that complements a good position. He has a smooth metronome-like canter, a super adjustable step, and great lead changes. He can add the stride or leave it out without losing rhythm, and is not particular about the distance he’s put to. He can do the job in any ring and showed successfully in the jumpers, equitation, and local hunter derbies in 2016.

Dewey will be a star for a junior that wants to focus on equitation without sacrificing an ability to play in other classes. He is very brave and tolerant of mistakes, and extremely consistent in his day-to-day disposition. He is easy to keep tuned and already has a good mix of jr/am show miles. He brings quality step and expression to the show ring, and is an easy-going kick-ride at home. He likes a consistent program that is not too redundant, and enjoys mixing trail rides, cavellettis, and interesting flatwork into his training.
