Very pretty prospect for the Medals and versatile enough for an entire Junior career. “Gordo” has a natural willingness to the jumps and is just getting started in the Pre-Greens. He jumped around to a blue in the Adult Amateurs at his first rated outing and is ready to get serious about moving up. He is a beautiful mover with potential for anything from Junior Hunters to the USEF Talent Search.

Gordo was given plenty of time to mature and backed at age 4. His well-rounded upbringing includes an advanced dressage education and experience over both show and cross-country fences. He is a brave, honest and scopey jumper that has only known an amateur ride, is very tolerant of mistakes, and has schooled up to 4’6” at home. Gordo has a soft mouth and lots of fancy flatwork for a Medal rider to show off. He is a push ride that needs a forward thinking pilot but will gamely lock onto the fence & go there.

Gordo takes everything in stride and his amateur owner considers him the easiest horse she has ever started. He goes on trails regularly, hacks out alone, and occasionally teaches beginner lessons. At the shows a light school over the jumps is nice, but conserving energy is priority. He has been given time to grow both mentally & physically and is fully prepared to progress rapidly in the ring.
