Imported as a foal in 2004, Latigo grew up on a cattle ranch and benefited from a well-rounded lifestyle. He is a hardy horse that currently goes barefoot, has been used for a variety of ranch work, rides bareback, and even pulls a cart. He has very few miles on his legs and just started O/F last year, where he showed exceptional form and lots of try. He has been to a few shows, marched right around, and has raw talent for any ring.

Regardless of upbringing, Latigo was bred to be an upper-level sport horse. He has great gaits, uses his body extremely well over fences, and has the style to stand out in company. He is a handy athlete with easy scope and step, and will suit experienced jr/ams looking for a long-term hunter, jumper, equitation & derby partner. Latigo needs finishing but is very mature in the brain. He is light & responsive and will whoa or go whenever asked. Latigo is honest, brave and willing, and should come along quickly in a consistent program.

Latigo is a simple horse that is happy to do as told. He is green in the show ring but very willing and quiet enough to go without lunging most days. He is smooth and scopey and feels very capable and secure over the jumps. Latigo’s easy-going attitude is super jr/am friendly and he adapts well to new experiences.
