Pregreen Under Saddle winner out of 69 in Ocala and good ribbons over fences out of 70+. Also has Tricolors in Greens, AOs and AAs, and was recently winner of the Adult Hunter Classic at the Duke Childrens Benefit. Very competitive and easy to maintain with a wonderful heart and personality.

Light and balanced across the ground, correct and careful over fences, Joey has classic hunter style and movement. He likes a loop in the rein and travels naturally in a pleasant frame. He has a great rhythm to find the fences on and a canter that's easy to sit. Joey rides nicely in a fat snaffle, never gets strong in the bridle, and prefers a soft, following hand. He is a quiet, kick-along type that needs minimal lunging.

Joey currently lives at home with his amateur owner, and enjoyed a season off while she was pregnant in 2008. They returned to the ring with a successful 2009 season in the AAs and have plans to return to the AOs in 2010. Joey is a proven gentleman in the barn and can easily be handled by a jr/am; he stands for vet, farrier, bathing, clipping (body and ears) and even self-loads. He is vice free and loves being a spoiled pet at home, but also thrives in a professional show program with proper turnout. Likes to horse show and enjoys the extra attention it brings.
