Chaplin’s very impressive record includes wins & tricolors from Capital Challenge, WEF, Middleburg, Vermont, Saugerties, Kentucky and more. He was imported in 2006, brought along in one of the best Hunter programs in the country, and boasts a wealth of show ring experience. He is a serious athlete and best suits riders ready to be competitive at 3’6”.

Chaplin is a lovely Working Hunter type. He covers the ground in big, fluid steps and has a great rhythm to the fences. His jump is stylish and scopey with a soft bascule and good use of his head and neck. Chaplin is very rideable and scored a 91 in the AO Handy at WEF. He is balanced, well-broke, and nicely sensitive to the aids. Chaplin has auto-changes and the confidence to jump any fence. He is very athletic and appreciates riders with a good command of their skills.

Chaplin is a kind, sweet and intelligent horse that has proven his abilities against the best in this sport. He is a top-notch performer & excels in a dedicated and consistent training program. Chaplin loves to stay out overnight and is happiest when lots of turnout is available.

  • 5.11.12: Exchange Photo Shoot Posted! We caught up with Chaplin just in time to watch his trips in the 3'6" Performance Hunters at KY Spring. There were some very nice Hunters ridden by some very big names in this 20 horse class, and Chaplin and ammy owner Ashley Hotz rode to some very good 5th & 8th place ribbons. Chaplin shows in person just as he does in his WEF video - He covers the ground in big round steps, makes easy round efforts over the fences, and looks like a blast to ride in the handys. Round is a good description for this guy, it kind of comes naturally to him. After the jog we took Chaplin out to the cross country field, where he happily displayed his cute round self for our cameras. Enjoy!
  • 3.1.12: New video posted! Chaplin and amateur owner Ashley Hotz in the Regular Working Hunters at WEF.
