Handsome young hunter ready to finish as a lovely Working Hunter, Jr/AO and Derby partner. Imported in 2009 and shown lightly to hack wins out of 16 and top prizes over fences out of 20+. "Sebastian" is eligible 2nd Yr. Pregreens and improves with every outing. He is going well in the Mod. Adults and will suit a jr/am that wants to bring along their own quality 3'6"+ horse.
Sebastian has a floating trot and fluid canter that makes for a very elegant impression in the ring. He has lots of scope and a slow, round jump that will shine at the Working heights. His style over fences is consistent and correct no matter the distance, and he's very brave and honest to the jumps. Sebastian has good lead changes and is nicely sensitive to the aids. He has a big step and plenty of scope for 3'6". Sebastian is easy to prepare and has a natural confidence that should lend well to Derby classes.
Sebastian is a big sweetheart and very eager to please. He loves attention and could spend all day hanging out with humans. Sebastian learns quickly but is still young and will benefit from a consistent professional program. He is curious but very brave and sensible, and always wears a happy expression.

Sebastian is very well-bred on top and bottom. He is by the Elite Hanoverian stallion "Viva Voltaire", a son of Voltaire. At his Stallion Test in 1998 Viva Voltaire scored 9s for his
jumping ability, disposition, character, ability to work and willingness to work, and Der Hannoveraner (the publication) stated he showed the most scope over fences out of all stallions in attendance. He is known to produce beautiful, flashy foals with excellent gaits, lots of jump, and wonderful temperaments. Sebastian's dam sire is "Rio Grande", a Top 5 USEF sire for many years and a grandson of Ramiro Z. Rio Grande has several offspring competing in the hunter & jumper rings, including the very successful Rio Renoir.
