Beautiful mover with a good brain and suitable for appropriate jr/am to finish. Mathilda was Champion Filly at her inspection, and in 2010 was 2nd Half Baby Green Circuit Champion at Thermal having only shown one week. She was also Reserve or Champion at The Oaks, Showpark, LA Preview & National, and moved up to Pregreens with top ribbons at 2011 HITS Thermal.
Mathilda is a beautiful mover that covers the ground with a sweeping trot and a pretty, flat-kneed canter. She has a light and elegant appeal that is very competitive under saddle. Mathilda is brave to the fences and always jumps with her knees high and square. She is quiet and rhythmical and has good natural balance. Mathilda is light in the bridle, easy to adjust, and has good lead changes. She is ready to continue moving up with a jr/am rider.
Mathilda is kind, attentive, and very willing to please. She is young but easy to work with, and will suit jr/am riders in quality show programs. Mathilda is simple and undemanding. She adapts quickly to new riders and is unlikely to misbehave. Her ideal home includes daily turnout, a competitive Ch/AA rider, and a professional to finish out Pregreen seasons and move up to First Years.

Mathilda's sire "Wellesley" has produced some beautiful horses for Hunters & Dressage with lines that trace back through World Cup IV to Wenzel I, Weltmeyer, Wolkenstein II and Warkant. Wellesley's dam, SPS Esplanade, added a lovely dose of elegance and lightness to the line that is readily apparent in Mathilda. Wellesley's offspring are highly trainable and attractive horses with lots of athletic ability and a wonderful work ethic.
